What can you use it for? |
 |
To read, write, edit, create or delete
the files you need to do your work, from any location with
Internet access. Share files with colleagues with protection
against the same file being opened for editing by two users
simultaneously. |
 |
To overcome the file size limitation for
sending files to other people as email attachments.
|
 |
To store a copy of your important files on a
computer at a remote location where they will be unaffected by
fires, floods, theft or other disasters that might destroy all
the copies and backups stored at your premises. |
 |
To host your company's website. This
includes a daily or weekly "Webstats" report, sent to you via
email, giving detailed information about who's been visiting
what on your site.
|
What's so good about it? |
 |
You use the same familiar "Windows Explorer"
interface to access these remotely stored files as you do to access
files stored on your local hard drive. |
 |
Additionally, if you prefer to keep working in Outlook,
you can store your files right inside regular email folders just as if they were
emails |
 |
Standard and secure FTP access to your storage space is included if you
prefer this method.
|
What does is cost? |
We don't sell on-line storage space separately
but instead it comes free with
every Exchange Mailbox account. The entry-level Exchange mailbox, for
£7.99/month, comes with a total of 1 gigabyte of storage
space for email and files. A Professional Exchange mailbox
account, for £14.99/month, gets you 4 gigabytes
of storage space.
|
Executive Summary |
Not only do we take care
of all your email needs, we also provide storage space on our
servers for your files.
Files stored here can be accessed from
anywhere you can connect to the Internet, can be shared with colleagues
and are safe from any disaster that may strike your office
server.
The limited speed at which files can
currently be transferred over Broadband connections prevents
this being a complete answer to the dream of automated off-site
backup and remote access to all your company files, but it's
still very useful for keeping the same master copies of
frequently used files and those files you're currently working
on, always at hand.
You can also host your website from
you're on-line file store and, if you have a file to send out
which is too big to email, copy it to the file store and just
email a link to the file.
All this is included, at no extra cost, in the monthly fee you pay
for an Exchange mailbox.
